EXPLORATION & PLANNING
These two processes are essential to success. The exploration process includes research, decision making, and goal setting. The planning process can be related to writing an essay: brainstorming, outlining, planning, and reflecting. It is our goal as counselors is to help guide students to resources available to accomplish these processes. It is crucial that we all realize that these processes are lifelong.
Project Post-Secondary
We have a Career and Guidance Room for students to set appointments to receive information and help on applying to post-secondary institutions. Post-secondary institutions include any institution that enables a student to continue his/her education and/or specialize in a specific area. Over 70% of all jobs available today require continuing education and/or specialized training. So, it is critical that we provide them with the opportunity and help needed to ensure their success when they graduate from BHS.
